Robots

The robotic arms specially designed for the thermal spraying process mostly adopt a six-axis vertical multi-joint structure, featuring an ultra-long arm span, a load capacity of 5–50 kg and a lightweight design. Equipped with a protection class of IP65 or above, high-temperature protective armor and a positive pressure explosion-proof system, they can withstand harsh environments such as high temperature and dust during thermal spraying, with a repetitive positioning accuracy of up to ±0.05~±0.2 mm. Integrated with dedicated thermal spraying control systems, offline programming software and AI adaptive path planning technology, and combined with multiple sensors including 3D vision scanners, infrared thermal imagers and laser thickness gauges, they support various thermal spraying processes such as plasma spraying, can precisely control spraying trajectories and parameters, realize the automatic coating of metals, ceramics and other materials on the surface of complex workpieces

ABB Thermal Spraying Robots

Represented by the IRB 5710 and IRB 7600 series, ABB thermal spraying robots adopt a six-axis vertical multi-joint structure, with a load range of 70–500 kg, an arm span of 2.3–3.5 m and a repetitive positioning accuracy of ±0.05–0.1 mm. Equipped with a protection class of IP67/68 and high-temperature protective armor, they can resist molten droplet splashes of over 1000℃ during thermal spraying, support ATEX explosion-proof certification, and are fitted with IRC5 controllers and dedicated thermal spraying software. Capable of accurately controlling spray gun trajectories and parameters, they realize the automatic operation of processes such as plasma spraying and high-velocity oxy-fuel (HVOF) spraying, and are widely used in fields including aero-engine components, large pressure vessels and wind power equipment.

MOTOMAN Thermal Spraying Robots

With the MPX series and EH series as the core products, MOTOMAN thermal spraying robots adopt a six-axis vertical multi-joint structure, with a load capacity of 5–20 kg, an arm span of 1.2–2.7 m and a repetitive positioning accuracy of ±0.07–0.15 mm. They have a protection class of IP65/67 and a positive pressure explosion-proof system, which makes them adaptable to the harsh thermal spraying environment. The DX200 controller integrates precise control of spraying parameters and supports multiple installation methods (floor-mounted/wall-mounted/ceiling-mounted). The EPH series is also equipped with a built-in pipeline design to reduce interference. These robots are particularly suitable for thermal spraying of small and medium-sized workpieces, inner holes and complex curved surfaces, and are widely applied in the fields of auto parts repair and mechanical seal spraying.
